Really Simple Syndication (RSS)

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a standard that allows RSS readers - software intended to read RSS feeds, also called news aggregators or feed readers  - to automatically retrieve new and updated content from online news sources.  RSS is a way for people to subscribe to content without doing so through email.

In the case of Club Meadowvale, news, events, and even comments from members can be subscribed to via RSS.

There are many different RSS readers, ranging from client-based readers like your web browser (Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Internet Explorer 7 have built-in RSS readers), to web-based readers like Google Reader.  Click here for an extensive list of RSS readers.
